Nothing about art post. Yet, everything has shaped the artist in me and so the art.
It's been a while that slow and conscious living has become the way of life. There are so many people who inspired me along the way. One thing led to another and here I am, acknowledging and sharing my gratitude to some of you.
A few years ago, I sat there scrolling thru Tedtalks on YouTube for a while. Stumbled upon a talk by Vani Ma'am, who we all know as @wormrani. Something in her story touched my heart. Something about letting go, liberation and finding a meaning in life. I needed to hear that at that point in my life. Inspired by her story, I restarted my composting journey.

My immediate instinct led me make a few compost bins with drums, I had at home ♻️. Soon, I needed bigger ones. So I finally gifted myself the Gobble Max by dailydump and I learnt so much along the way. Composting changed the way I looked at life, made me a different person.
Another time, I stumbled upon Ms. Janak Palta McGilligan's story. And when I read she lives in Indore, I shared it with my sister and told her, one day I'd like to meet her. The wish was made and forgotten
I was in Indore a few weeks ago and that's when Young Indians Indore was visiting Janak Ma'ams place. My sister asked me to join in. I, obviously jumped into the chance life had thrown at me.
When I reached there, interacted with her, she with such grace took us around and thru her life. Every bit, is nothing less than an inspiration, truly!
Her work has impacted many lives. Empowered rural and tribal women. Works extensively on sustainable development, solar energy and organic farming.
She truly walks the talk of living a earth-friendly life. She has also been honored with the PadmaShree for her social work.
Her energy needless to say is so infectious. Willing to share her knowledge with the curiosity and open hearts. Kids are her absolute favorites
During the conversation, I had only one thing to ask her. That too came from the place of eco-anxiety, which shows up in my life once in a while. So I popped the question, "Ma'am, I have people tell me, you make living consciously look easy, but its not something i can do. What can I do differently for more people to feel encouraged?"
She smiled and with the most calm voice said, "it took me 4 decades to get here. Be patient with yourself." That is the reminder I needed in that moment of my life.
Universe is so magical, always has your back
In love and deep gratitude,
Priti.
